+ This is only problematic for ops pursuing the WAS FT4 endorsement, which requires both QSO partners to submit their QSO with a mode of FT4. I would be amazed if everyone who initially uploaded DIGITAL QSOs has now re-uploaded all of them as FT4. I wouldn't be surprised if some have neglected to remove the mapping and are still uploading DIGITALs, even though FT4 is now accepted*. Meanwhile, some hams were evidently so jumpy/anxious to upload to LoTW that they chose to add a mapping in tQSL, so their FT4 QSOs were uploaded as DIGITAL QSOs. FT4 was included ADIF version 3.1.0, which was approved a little more than a week later on. So within 3 weeks of "first contact", every logging application developer (including online service providers like Club Log, eQSL, LoTW, and QRZ) that participates in ADIF or monitors ADIF knew how FT4 would be represented in ADIF. The committee voted to represent FT4 with + FT4 was first introduced to the ADIF committee on. It took the committee a while to agree on and update the ADIF format to allow for FT4. Sign and upload any outstanding FT4 QSOs to LoTW. If yours are older, follow the prompts to update! I believe the current versions are tQSL 2.5.1 and tQSL config 11.9. Either way, FT4 QSOs will be packaged, signed and uploaded just fine provided you are using a recent release of tQSL with the current config file. Confirm that there are either no mappings at all shown, or at least there are no FT4 mappings shown. Open File -> Display or modify preferences -> Open the ADIF Modes tab * HINSON TIP: it's easy check if you think this might possibly apply to you: FT4 QSOs you have logged should upload just fine. Meanwhile, you can sign and upload your ADIF log from WSJT-X, JTDX and I guess MSHV directly in tQSL, without having to pass the log through another logging program. If your logging software can't handle FT4 properly, and if that matters to you, look for/write a better logging program. This fairly minor change of policy caused problems for some logging programs that couldn't handle it, especially those that are no longer actively supported/maintained.

FT4 is now defined in ADIF as a submode, whereas FT8 is defined as a mode. I would be amazed if everyone who initially uploaded DIGITAL QSOs has now re-uploaded all of them as FT4.Ģ.

I suspect this situation is the result of two issues:ġ.
